Vista Taskbar Issue

I recently bought a Vaio FZ11L, and i'm over the moon with it.

It came with Vista Home Premium, and i've got a problem with the taskbar appearance
When i go to change the colour scheme, it says it will change the colour of the taskbar. It used to do this, but in the last week, i've noticed it doesn't change anymore. The main windows change, and transparency is all good, but nothing seems to have any effect on the taskbar, which has stayed an opaque black colour. Before, it would change according to the colour scheme i chose, and there would be a degree of transparency to it.

Anyone else had this issue?
And can anyone suggest a reason for this?

Thanks
Cyprino

Hi Cyprino,

welcome to Club Vaio..

Do you have itunes installed, if so you may have enabled the iTunes toolbar on the taskbar..?

Right click on the taskbar > toolbars > then left click iTunes to deselect it..

From what I have read Vista changes to Basic whenever there is an application that does not support aero, this would cause the taskbar to revert to black..
