Hiya,
I just have a question on how I can send video from cinema pro or in full fat 4K HLG from the Xperia 1 to a Samsung TV without crushing the colours. Google chromecast does not work- I don't think it supports 4K HDR/ HLG or for whatever reason cannot do the job. Sometimes it plays a black screen, if I cast the whole device rather than the video (not in 4K), it distorts largely the colours.
I'm now looking to get the Xperia 1 IV and want to know what the best way to share content would be, especially if I want to send through 4K 120Hz HLG video from the device to the TV. The TV model is the QN700A 55" if that helps. Before anyone says get a Sony TV, unfortunately it's not in my hands- the rest of the family are Samsung fans. 😅 But how can a Samsung TV give better quality Airdrop video in 4K HDR 60fps, but on Android you are screwed.
I wanted to ask if a wired connection would work, as I found too many restrictions on this- can't use a direct usb-c to HDMI cable, and to send 4K 120 needs to be HDMI 2.1, there needs to be a usb-c to HDMI connector and that needs to be MHL and support displayport 4K, and it needs a seperate HDMI 2.1 to HDMI 2.1 cable. The ones I have found require a USB-C port which supports "DisplayPort Alternate Mode". Can't find any information, anywhere of just a single package or parts I need to pull this off, not on the official Sony store or anywhere else that are licensed for this. If someone, knows the exact parts I need- that would be a massive help! 😁

Yes, I agree with @MarlonUk1 , I think a flash drive will be the best option.
But, for the Xperia 1 IV, you'll be able to connect the phone to HDMI port in your TV using an HDMI cable together with an HDMI-UVC conversion adapter.
hello @kzagham
unfortunately there seems to be little ways of showing off your video creation directly from the phone,
one of the ways I can think is either copy the exported file to a usb dongle and insert it on the tv or copy the file to a laptop then connect via hdmi or displayport.
