Can someone please explain to me why a phone being touted as having the most advanced camera system on phone produces images with with such poor detail!? I took both pictures below with P-mode in Photo Pro.
The first image has dynamic range turned on and the second auto-HDR. I know the photos are being comprised due to being JPEGs but level of clarity is not up good. My Pixel 2, which I upgraded from to 1ii, would capture much more detail in it's pictures. I know there is a lot of computational work going on, but still, I'd expect much more from a flagship phone priced at £1100!
I hope these and all the other issues (ironic all to do with cameras) are fixed soon!
I would try to use DRO an lower the eposure -1.
DRO seems to have more details in the dark areas.
Dunno if I should tell this, if it's true or not, but...I made one single change to my MK2 and since that my images are way better than before. I hope this remains so.
Let me make some further test before i write [edited by moderator to remove partially asterisked profanity] here, actually I am not sure if this I the way for better images or if Sony made some unknown overnight - updates.
We would have know if they made an update because we would have seen a notification. Tell me what you did and I can give it a quick try myself.
Ok, some more "tests", some more interesting things: camera is getting better and dunno really why
Quick comparison Xperia 1 MK2 (and S20 Ultra). Amazing, "now" the MK2 gives me better output then the S20 Ultra. Here, first image from MK2:
And here we have the S20 Ultra image.
One more, first MK2:
Second one, S20 Ultra:
