Poor clarity from image taken with Photo Pro

Can someone please explain to me why a phone being touted as having the most advanced camera system on phone produces images with with such poor detail!? I took both pictures below with P-mode in Photo Pro.

The first image has dynamic range turned on and the second auto-HDR. I know the photos are being comprised due to being JPEGs but level of clarity is not up good. My Pixel 2, which I upgraded from to 1ii, would capture much more detail in it's pictures. I know there is a lot of computational work going on, but still, I'd expect much more from a flagship phone priced at £1100!

I hope these and all the other issues (ironic all to do with cameras) are fixed soon!20200630_210546.JPG20200630_210557.JPG

Yup My experience with Sony was from the early 80's using  the equipment of what they were originally famous for.AUDIO

Had a Stereo hifi-separate amplifier and i remember its moniker , it went "ITS A SONY..."

Been using sony ever since.

Remember the dos command to get your CD drive to work in DOS ? hahahah

something like loadhigh=c:\dos\mscdex.exe :001 and doing the same with config.sys which would be devicehigh

The cheaters used  QUEMM though

Anyway back to sony, my only regret is that Sony dont do commercial monitors for PC's, only the ones that cost £30k just for a 32"

Yes,  Sony has something that fascinates, despite the magic name. It was in the past the quality and the brandmark "Made in Japan" that counted hard. Today I can't really stand the used materials and the imprint: "Made in China". Oh, and yes, before the dos console there was the Amiga Shell in my life, and even before that...the VC20.

Here some gear that still stand out of the crowd:batch_IMG_3586.JPGbatch_IMG_3482.jpgbatch_IMG_3520.jpgbatch_IMG_3555.jpgbatch_IMG_8805.jpg

Yup you have gotten some really great results there and a range of them too.

Now that we have RAW on all three lenses, will be interesting to see what you can do edit wise on a RAW photo before converting to JPEG.
