Very bad signal on Sony Xperia 1 II

Hello, I would like to ask you for help. I have old HTC U11 phone and new Sony Xperia 1 II.

But I found out that with Old HTC I have much better Speed and Latency. As I work in IP, I did tests towards our loop used to measure lines, but it gives exactly same results as speedtest net.

Sony Xperia 1 II Latency - 38ms!
HTC U 11 Latency - 16 ms
Huawei Latency - 17 ms

 

The speed is even worse.

 

Signal reception about 10db less on Sony Xperia 1 II.

 

HTC had whole flat usable 3G, on Sony Xperia 1 II it connects but its useless. Speed measurement - unable to connect.

HTC Speed - 68/40Mbit
Sony Xperia 1 II Speed 28/1Mbit

Do you please have the same experiences?
Or it is problem of my equipment? +20ms on such expensive phone Is really deal braker for me. 😞
I did 30 tests in many times, exactly same place. The same BTS.

 

Old HTC whole flat 1800 + 800 LTE. 

 

Xperia has problem to find 1800 even by window. But sometimes it is worse and it has even 1 signal bar on 800MHz. 100m from BTS. Really sad from such xperiences on high end phone.

Hello, thank you. The phone was operating OK on Volte before repair. Is
there any way how to repair it? Some software update?

Hi there, I think sending the device back to the repair to revert what happen is the solution, as i don't think there is a software update to solve this.

Thank you, even if it I am unhappy from it. 3 months I am solving only
problems with Sony. First month 3 factory reset and many mails with really
not welcomming support, second month waiting for repair, after that another
mails with support about this problems. So next weeks I will be again
waiting for phone to be back from repair. Sorry but I really do not have
time for this, is there any way to get some money from Sony for such a bad
support and faulty device?

Who did you purchase the phone from/who is the carrier.

As it does sound like you have the generic UK Sony software, and not your network software for Volte

Hello,
phone is from Alza.cz, mobile operator is T-mobile CZ (I work for
them). The phone had been working before the repair (both Volte and
VoWiFi).

Now IMS no registration
VOLTE not available
VOWIFI not available

If you don't wish to proceed with their suggestions, why don't you try to check for any alternative option with your retailer?  if they can offer a replacement or something.

The phone is back on repair. But to pay for high end phone and solve
repairs only from begining is really horrible experience. Sony = give us
money and go.

Hello, second reply, exactly on what you asked.

 

- In our country you have to have "3 repairs which didnt helped to resolve isuue" to get back money for bought electronic device.

 

- Main problem for me - No support from Sony, external firm on repairs which is resending phone to 3rd country. I waited 3 weeks for reply, they didnt replied. Sony support absolutelly without interest to resolve any problems. They are selling high end phone, but absolutelly without support. Who will pay all the hours that I lost with factory resets and settings up all the apps again, waiting for replies, problems caused by that I was not online cause of this .....very very bad device with even worse service. I thing that this should be solving somebody from sony and supervise all the bad services they provides.

Received it, sent it back, received it again.

After being on the phone with the managers and the managers managers finally got a new one, which seems to work fine.

Very disappointing experience...
