Xperia 1 iii autofocus issues

Hi folks. I've just got this and have noticed that the shots aren't as sharp as my previous Xperia 1 MK1. Has anyone else noticed their camera front focusing, which I think is what happening? I focus on the eye and it's the tip of my nose that's (reasonably) sharp. On the whole though, it's way softer than the MK1. Not happy really.

The main camera or selfie camera?

It's the main camera that's the worst. The ultrawide is soft, but I expected that. Oddly though, the Tele on 70mm is not bad.

Just tested mine and focus seems dead on to me, I'd say on par with focus of X1.

Have you done all and any updates for it?

Can you provide a sample image with poor focus.

 the first is what I expected to get. This was taken with my old X1. The collage below that is what I get now. The left image is raw and the right jpeg. You can see how blurred the raw is and how much sharpening has been applied already. Even then, it's still not as sharp as the X1. In my eyes anyway.

Did you try to check the manual of the camera here for the auto focus instructions ?

I did,yes. However, my issue is with the eyeaf not providing a sufficiently accurate focus. I'm just not feeling the value of this £1300 handset. In this day and age, things should do what they say on the tin. Especially from major firms like Sony.
