Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot

Not impressed, having bought this phone for the second time on 15th September (as my 1st one was stole a week into ownership) and yesterday the black screen of death appeared.

Wouldn't power on while holding the power and volume key, phoned Sony today who advised to do a software repair.

Attempted that tonight and got half way through the redpair and now i have this message.

The phone isn't even two weeks old.  Paid over £800 for a faulty item.

So it would appear that your Android system is corrupt, which may be down to the issue with the failed software repair you did.

Now when you get that message, if you press the power button once, does the phone boot up?

And have you tried to do any modifications on the OS, like bootloader, or dodgy apps, etc.?

No, only boots up shows that message and says it will switch off in 5 seconds then turns black.

No idea how to do any of that, used for whatsapp, internet and ebay mostly, not tech knowledge at all really

When that message pops up, try pressing the power button once, the phone should restart, it works for other models.

Failing that I think it would be a flash of stock firmware or a repair centre job.

It doesn't restart.

Its going back under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as it is not fit for purpose!

Use original cable or good cable to do software repair

Have you tried holding power and down button? What about getting it into safe mode?

Also are you in a wifi location when you tried software repair? Mine would not complete the procedure without it.

Wish I could offer more assistance but I sold mine for a Note 10+. Very reliable and never overheats.
