How to make Xperia 10 lock screen switch on when notification comes

How to configure Xperia 10 lock screen to switch on  for 5-10 seconds every time when  new e-mail notification arrives (e.g. from Outlook mail app)?

Now notification comes, sound alert works, but lock screen doesn't switch on, so you have to press power button to see new notifications.

The Xperia 10 does not have ambient display, so it won't turn the screen on when you receive a notification, you will only receive a vibration/sound alert.

There are some applications that supports this anyway and will turn the screen on when you receive for example a text message and there may be applications available in the Google Play store that has this feature, so you can always have a look there. Simply search for "notifications turn on screen" or something along those lines!
