Modular camera

I want to exclaim, wish SONY. You should always listen to the aspirations, hopes, expectations of the advanced photographers from new manufactured cameras, this is unfortunately not always the case. Camera very quickly become obsolete due to development, better processors, matrices, gates, etc. Only buy one, and only'll get used to its interface, management, buttons, and you find any disadvantages not correctable no firmware, which are of course already in the next generation camera manufactured months, five, six. With the release of a new frequently change the location of the control buttons interface, causing us to get retrained for something... And with this first what to do throw out? I suggest the following variant, of course it is not beneficial to the producers, but we photographers, consumers are more important and more convenient. Now the camera is only on the change of firmware, lenses, batteries and memory cards. Not to change the camera itself every year, there is a suggestion.

I think that such an option it is not fiction, because recently no one believed that appears on the market system of the camera without the pentaprism and mirrors, capable to shoot, to focus even better than some DSLRs.

I've been thinking of something similar for a while.

of being able to buy a body (variations on size/weather sealing) and then almost plug in the things i want, so like size of sensor, Af module (which could tie in with the type of mirror box you have - eg slt/mirrorless/Pentaprism/Pentamirror) type of battery port , type of shuttle (4K/8k/12k speeds), AF drive (electronic in lens and/or inbody drive) , Ibis or not, modular firmware additions (basic menus/App support/Tether support/Ibis or ilis support)

so each part could have a compatibility matrix so you know what ill work with what

it would be nice to know that if i wanted to buy a camera for a certain job , eg say just to use my old m42 lenses. i could build a basic body which doesnt have af, is mirrorless, and is weather proofed. i get what i pay for/need. then if i wanted to change the configuration i could buy the parts i wanted to upgrade either myself or send it in to sony for a set charge and they'll install/reconfigure it.

even if you can't go to a shop and buy the parts yourself to build it, have a online building tool and order it as you want it from the maker or talk to a specialist in a store and they configure it for you and process the order to the factory.

you could then have a few pre-designed templates which cover the current functionality for the people aren't so bothered for the designing themselves and would just "rather buy a camera that just works" then it caters for both sides of the spectrum of people.


anyhow i'll stop rambling now
