Bought the above model 5 days ago. When you turn it on, within 1 minute the screen goes off and stays off . You have to change channel for screen to come back . Any ideas

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Have you tried a restart of your TV?

To do this - press and hold the power button on the remote control for about 5 seconds. The TV will turn off and then restart automatically after a short time.  

If this does not resolve the issue, I would advise a reset.  More details on how to perform this here.
