Motionflow issue

I find out something intresting about Motionflow in my KDL 50W755C. Motionflow not work in default or any other players when videofile have aspect ration other than 16:9.

In the Advanced Picture settings, under the section of 'Motion' can you experiment with 'Film Mode'

High:

Process IP (Interlaced-Progressive) conversions appropriate for a wide selection of video formats, with additional frame compensation to remove judder.

Medium:

Process IP (Interlaced-Progressive) conversions appropriate for movies and computer graphics, with additional frame compensation to remove judder.

Low:

Process IP (Interlaced-Progressive) conversions appropriate for movies and computer graphics

Off:

Optimises picture quality based on video content, such as movies and computer graphics.

Does NOT work.

So same issue here : brand new 55XE9005 up to date. Motionflow does not work with some files.

1.77 : OK

2 : OK

2.35 : KO

2.40 : KO

2.55 : KO

Maybe an Android 7 bug, seems to work with 55XE9005 android 6.

Firmware info :

Version 7
Version Noyau (Kernel ?) : 3.10.79
Build : BRAVIA_ATV2_EU-user 7.0 NRD91N-S36 1.6.26.02.1.00 release keys

This + passthrough broken. So disappointed. Don't want to buy another device with my 2000€ TV.

Sony do monitor this forum, although I doubt they read every post.  However they will not respond.

I have 809c with android 6 and have similiar issue.

Worst thing I just notice, After update to Nougat.
Motionflow in digital chanel, Youtube app, stop working even in full screen mode (but still work in streaming channel even have black bar)

Change setting to smooth, standard, custom doesn't effect anything.
Just enjoy my television for 7 month and now Motionflow is gone.

Edit : Test multiple times, Still working but less pronounced compare to off.

thank you for the motionflow issue.

Yes, it is. Exact same issue. Passthrough is broken with third party app (Kodi, Vlc, Archos, Mx Player...).

Same as 24p mode which cannot be enabled (helps with judder) and 3D.
