Sound delay changing channels

Recently, (last software update) whenever you change channels, there now appears to be a slightly longer delay in receiving the sound on the new channel...?

I contacted Sony Support, here was their response:

"Thank you for contacting Sony support.

We are sorry to learn that the sound is delayed when changing channels on your TV, we aim to resolve this matter as quick as possible.

With reference to your inquiry, could you please try the below steps:

1) Clear Cashed Data & Reboot the television (This step does not remove any information from the television).

- Press ’Home’ button.    - Select ’Settings”’    - Select ’Storage & Reset’.    - Select ’Internal Storage’.    - Select ’Cached Data’. - Select Yes to clear it.   - Press on the green power button for more than 5 seconds until a message appears on the screen " Powering Off " or " Shutting Down".

2) Turn Off Bravia Sync: - Press on the HOME button to bring up the 'Home' menu. - Select 'Settings'. - Select 'External Inputs'. - Select 'BRAVIA Sync settings' and turn them off.

3) Change the 'Enhanced Format'. - Press on the HOME button to bring up the 'Home' menu. - Select 'Settings'. - Select 'External Inputs'. - Select 'HDMI signal formats'. - Select switch between 'Standard format' t o 'Enhanced format' and vice versa and test on both.

4) If the issue remains, try reseting your television to factory settings by following the instructions in the following link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00170595

5) If you get channels through an Antenna/Ariel, try re-tuning the channels again.

6) If you get channels through an external device such as a TV Box via HDMI, try changing the cable and try different ports on the TV.

If the same sypmtoms still ocurr after trying the above, could you please reply to the below questions to allow further investigation:

Q1) What is the current software version? (Please write the exact number).

Q2) When did this issue start happening?

Q3) Could you mention the connected external devices to your device in question and also how are they connected?

Q4) How do you get TV channels, Antenna/Ariel or through an external device such as a TV Box?

Q5) If you have both Antenna/Ariel and a TV Box connection, can you test both HD and non-HD channels on Freeview TV & TV Box content and let us know if the same thing happens?

We apologies for being too specific, all this information will aid us in resolving this matter.

Thank you for your inquiry, if you have any further questions, please feel free to reply to this e-mail.

Yours Sincerely, Sherif

SONY SUPPORT TEAM"

Please can people try the above and report back to see if it works. I'll try the weekend.
