Hi all,
About three weeks ago I purchased a BDP S370 Blu-ray player - it's excellent. One of the selling points was the streaming Internet services. In Ireland we don't get BBC iPlayer or Lovefilm, but I had been enjoying Youtube, Sky News and about 13 other services - they all worked perfectly.
Now in the last few days, whenever I select the services it goes through the steps of acquiring the service and then gives this message: "Service has not started in this region. You will be notified by an icon when this service starts"
Anyone else in Ireland suddenly getting this? Why are we suddenly being deprived of these services?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Never get as far as seeing the services (YouTube, SkyNews etc.).
Get the error message at stage 3/3 when asking to refresh Internet content.
Thanks.
I have exactly the same problem.
Hi,I have the same problem ,just bought the BDP S-370 and no internet content.I have been on the phone to Sony and it was a waste of time also went back to shop and they knew nothing either.I am very dissapointed in Sony for such a highly regarded brand there service leaves a lot to be desired .
Thanks Catmambo - encouraging that you've identified the problem.
I checked last night and this morning - and still not working from my end.
Any update on release of a fix for this?
Hi,I have tried again today and it is still not working.
Sorry guys, I was told it was going to be looked into and resolved last night. Indeed a colleague in Wicklow tested it and said it was working ok. Let me look into it again...
thanks
I think it is time to return Sony items to the shop for a refund,When I phone Sony Ireland I get through to Sony UK,they know nothing about the problem they gave me a case number and said they would investigate the matter STILL NOTHING.. P.S. MY CASE NUMBER IS 26445205.Why do Sony not have a proper service department in Ireland ?.
Hi Catmambo,
The Internet TV services have been restored to me here in Dublin.
Very much appreciated!
