CD won't play on DED player

Can anyone help. I have linked my DVD recorder/player RDR-GXD360 to my new Bravia TV KDL-40EX503. It will play DVDs without problems but when I try palying a CD,  C13:00 appears in the player window and the message "Cannot play this disc" appears on the TV.

I have run the reset programme, and run a cd cleaner disc.

Solutions please!

Hi,

what is the state of the disc your trying to play, Sony decks seldom like media that may be scratched or dirty, is it only the one cd or many ?

Hi and thanks for response.

I have large collection of CDs, all genuine recordings (not home copies). All good condtion. play fine in my car for example. None will play.
