M4 Ram issue, shows only 883 MB...

Hi, My m4 after update to andro 6 shows only 883 MB Ram... it has 2 GB Ram memory, why is not the whole memory working? Its not all, my front camera is not working and the system is working really slow... I allready have repaired my smartphone via Xperia Center but the issue still occures. Don't write to me that I should go to the local servis, because that is the last thing that I will do. There must be any solution...

I have 4 of the m4 phones, Two are completely unusable with this problem, I haven't upgraded the other two yet,. Where is the fix, been watching the forum and we need a fix!!

I'm having the same issue here. Since last week my E2306 had problems with wifi, after restarting my phone started to get system halts, no wifi detection, constant reboot. I upgraded to Android 6.0.1 and did software repair thru PC Companion with no success, things got worse, blue screens, constant reboots and halts, 883 MB in RAM detected.

I already tried every solution listed in forums I've found.

When I brought my M4 to AT&T and they said it's out of warranty (I've had it for 1 year and a month), called Sony Service Centers (4 in my city) and they said they can't do anything if it's out of warranty.

So, what can I do?, I see there are many people with the same issue, what's Sony's position about this?, I wont buy a new phone just after 1 year of use.

I put my phone into stamina mode and it bounced my ram up to 1.8 and I got access to my camera again, have flipped it off again and it seems to be holding at 1.8g. Not a proper fix but it has helped for the last 20 minutes. See what happens, the phone sure the battery back with only 883 mb ram

I just tried your workaround and it didn't work for me.

Over the year's i had built trust in Sony and their product but on that one they have really messed up and don't seem to care much.

I'm am going to try the local service center again! see if they propose another solution, although i cannot afford to be without a phone for long!

Sorry to hear your fix was short lived Itsmrpiggy

It seems when we have the 2gig RAM available on our M4, it's only a matter of time before a blue screen comes and sets everything back to unusable mode

I saw some post suggesting it could be because of an app.. i don't think so because even with the phone straight from a repair or factory reset, the problem is there. There is something wrong in the firmware which needs to be fixed.. but nothing is coming from SONY's side.. not even a statement that they are looking into the problem!

I now believe it is firmware. Also the stamina fix that was mentioned did not work for me. Although I now recall the first time this happened was when my phone went into stamina mode. Sony, please check any patches or whatever were rolled out around the last week of October.

Listening to music on the way home it seemed to crash a few times. It was trying to communicate with play services, i think track Id was trying to cumunicate also. Am now trying to use the handset with no mobile data / wifi connected. See what happens.

At this time I can't even get past blue screen, no android logo, no waves...

Contacted support in México, they told me repair cost would be near USD$100, but I don't wanna pay for their mistakes.

Hold volume up and power button for 10 seconds, you will feel the phone vibrate a few time. This should force a shutdown. Wait a few seconds, and try and switch it on. If it doesn't come on after that then press volume down and power fro a few seconds and you should get a start.. may have to repeat a couple of times
