I've got a sub460s speaker and it works great but none of the lights work. Looking underneath I discovered that the wires that go to the circuit board with the LEDs on are not attached to the plug socket. They are not broken it just appears they weren't attached at the factory. It would be a two minute job to fix if I had a wiring diagram but the of the eight wires, seven are grey and the other one is white. If anyone is able to look at theirs and tell me which wire goes where or has a wiring diagram I would be so grateful. Thanks
Hi,
personally i would return it to Sony for a replacement as it will still be under warranty, however if you have started probing around inside you may have invalidated it.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Had thought about returning it but seems a shame to be without it for god knows how long for the sake ofva two minute job. I haven't done /removed anything to risk warranty issues so thecquestion for me is am I obsessive/compulsive to not be able to live without the lights.
Hi,
obsessive/compulsive? no, not at all, you are well within your rights as a consumer to expect a fully working product, i mean you would not buy a Toaster without a plug would you?
speak to your dealer from where you purchased it and arrange a replacement.
two minute job or not, its not your responsibility is it.
