(AR31S) HOW TO FIX HDD RAID0 Error (Caused by Quicktime) - Without a reformat

RE-EDITED as I have found the solution...

PROBLEM:
After using Quicktime7 (or above) for watching video, the INTEL MATRIX STORAGE application shows an error in RAID-0, that appears to be unfixable without removing the partition and completely re-installing from scratch.

Thank you so much, I have the VGN-AR61S and was having the same problem

Thought I would have to send it off to have the hard drive replaced (after having it two day) but your fix worked a treat.

Cheers

Hi sabotaz and welcome to Club Vaio.

It sounds like one drive needs replacement.

Even though you are out of the warranty period, I would contact Sony Support as this is a known issue and you did contact them about it when still within the warranty period. It is worth a try.

Did you make a set of Recovery Discs?
