Battery replacement for VGN-A417M?

Hi everyone,

I've got vaio a417m for 2.5 yrs and my battery seems to be gone. Sony doesn't seem to be supplying it any more.... Can I get it somewhere? Are we suppose to get a new laptop every two - three years or more often? Well I'm still very happy with mine (now with 2GB RAM) and would rather wait for next generation(s) (maybe centrino trio or quattro, no that's audi isn't it :-))...
Any info more than welcome...

You are right! Some do come up on Google but I think you may want to consider a third party supplier like Duracell - on cost and warranty if nothing else!
