Booting from USB or Firewire device possible?

Hi,

is it possible to boot a VGN-A215M from a USB or Firewire device, like a hard disk or a USB memory?

Thanks in advance again

Your Vaio will boot from any Vaio external drive, be it a PCMCIA optical drive, an i.link/firewire optical drive or a VAIO usb floppy drive.

It will not boot from any non-Vaio external drive though.

I've get from Rich Link for some weeks or days. There is a manual, with which you can intigrate a USB driver on a DOS Floppydisk. But I have lose the Link.:smileyworried:
Maybe Rich read this Thread and can give us the Link again.

Thanks for the answers 🙂
I wonder why it's so hard to boot from external drives on PC's, still a lots of work to do to get where Macs are though...
Anyway, I think I'll rather add a partition to my internal drive.

Thanks, you guys here a really very helpful!
