Connecting a VGN-FE31-Z laptop to a Bravia DL-32V2500

Can you help please?
I have trawled through the TV and the Laptop user guides and am more confused.
What is the best way to connect the equipment so i can watch movies from my laptop hard drive on my TV?
Is there a single cable i can buy that will do the trick?

Hi Peter and welcome to Club Vaio.

You are one of the lucky ones! You have a choice of connection.

Your FE31Z and your Bravia DL-32V2500 both have S-Video and VGA (PC 15-Pin) connections. Unfortunately neither of these carry sound, so you will also need an audio cable.

You Need:

3.5 mm jack to RCA sound cable - LIKE THIS

AND

S-Video to S-Video cable - LIKE THIS

OR

VGA Monitor Cable - LIKE THIS

It was as I suspected - there is no single cable solution.
Is there any difference in picture quality by using the VGA or the S-Video cable
