Don't want my Laptop to switch off when I close the display

Hello Everybody

I am the happy owner of a PCG GRT996VP VAIO Laptop

Sometimes when I perform a time consuming task, I prefer to leave my laptop working while having the screen closed (folded) so it doesn't take much space. However, each time I try to do that, Windows goes to standby mode and my task stops until I open the screen again.

Any solutions?

Check in your Power savings settings (under control panel) as there will be an option to change what happens when you close the lid.

START.Control Panel>Power Oprions>Advanced>"When I close the lid of my notebook": Do nothing

(This will only turn off the screen - therefore save battery-life)
