DX client not working properly on my VAIO laptop

I have a VGN-SZ61MN VAIO laptop running Windows 7 professional.  I have installed software called DX client version 2.6.8 to enable me to view a cctv system dvr remotely.  I have installed on two other computers around me and it works fine, but I cannot view the video on my VGN-SZ61MN.  Help, please, for which my thanks in advance.

Are either of the working computers running Windows 7?

One is W7, the other Vista, but I'm sorted. Through sheer blind trial and error and many wasted hours, it emerged that when my Vaio was upgraded to W7, it didn't take the video drivers across so they were not fully enabled.  It's working now, no thanks to the hardware or software for communicating in any way at all.

In a few weeks the cctv system's dvr will be swapped over for one which doesn't rely on ActiveX for communication with the outside world, at which point I won't be stuck with having to use the damn Vaio PC anymore and can use my MacBook andiPhone instead.  Cant wait.
