How do I stop Cursor from jumping?

This seems silly, but when typing, if I lightly touch the cursor control tablet, the cursor jumps to an earlier position, creating havoc with my what I am writing. Does anyone know how to switch off this 'facility'?

Hi pbw888,

Click Start, then all programs, then Vaio Control Centre..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window..

In the Vaio Control Centre expand Keyboard and Mouse..

Then double click on Mouse..

In the Mouse Properties window select the Tapping tab.

In the tapping tab ensure that you have selected Tap Off when typing and also try adjusting the delay after last key is hit.

Does that help with the Touchpad problem.?
