How to reduce LCD brightness noise when u set brightness less than 8

Hi guys! i am at big problem. I used to be a big fan of Toshiba. Recently i bought a Sony FS-115z( EU model) and it has LCD noise when u set LCD brightness in low for higher bettery life. I feel the LCD noise when i work at night. IF u set LCD brightness at full level there is no noise. IS it normal or I bought a Malfunctional SONY VAIO :(??? thanks in advance.

Hi
unfortunately all FS models do this. And Sony Support admits that this shouldnt be like this. I have read that some other FS users already shipped their notebooks to Sony for repair. At the moment none of the notebooks have been returned, apparently Sony is still waiting for the parts...

If you dont like to keep the brigthness on max then you can lower it also in the graphic card setting, altough there will be no advantage in power saving this way.

I am also thinking about sending it in for repair, but i am waiting to see how the solution is going to look like.

Regards,
Martin

That must be defenitiv a production failure or cheap parts. Like the poor keyboard of the VGN-A 3***series and the wrongdesigned VGN-S series(to much power in a to small Case).:smileysad: And the Matsushita drive which can read DVDs but no CDs. Ahhrrg, a SonyVAIO is not more the same SonyVAIO like maybe for 2 years ago.:smileysad:

Thats not true. Many FS units do this, but not all FS units.

I stated in the other post regarding the FS buzzing noise, that my buzzing noise disappeared after 4 or 5 days of heavy use. I am comparing it to a mains voltage dimmer switch for room lighting. When you dim room lights the dimmer can make a buzzing noise very similar. Surly it can¿t be the same technology?

I think, but it must be a cheap technology. Because I have changed my old room lamp(with a cheap dimmer) with a new lamp(with good dimmer). And now I can hear nothing. I think Sony used cheaper parts for the newer laptops.
