Intermittent Wireless!!! HELP

Hi Folks, my VGN-N38Z has started having probs with the wireless. Despite the switch being in the on position it declares there are no networks available, yet it finds them ok with a usb arial. Sometimes when it works it'll be ok for weeks then it'll just die. Tried changing the wireless card on board to no avail, inasmuch as it still does the same thing. the wireless arial cables seem ok and the plugs are secure. not followed these through into the lid or wherever they go, not sure whether they're just open ended wires or do the connect to something else in the lid? if so would the prob be there?

Any help gratefully recieved, at tearing hair stage!

" no networks available". Click on diagnose and usually it will give you the cause.

usually the answer would be another program might be managing your wireless connection or the wireless swqitch is off.

Try checking device manager too and see if drivers are up to date under network adapaters.https://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vmware_happy.gif

Thanks for the advice, but been there way ahead of you. Diagnostics show everything functioning ok and latest drivers there too. I.v also swapped out the wireless card with tha same results. This leads me to suspect the arial cable, both the coax conectors on the end fit snuggly, but that doesn't guarantee continuity. Anyone know whether the connect to someting in the lid or are they just a loop of cable. Don't want to pull the screen to pieces if I can help it, but given the fact that all will be fine for some weeks then dead for a while I guess the fault is somewhere down this road. Any more info would be great.
