laptop to tv? how goes i?

i've just bought a HD-TV, and just wondering if it's possible to link my Vaio FS to it? just so i can watch films etc....

Hi,

Unless your TV has a D-Sub (VGA) 15 pin input, there is no way of connecting satisfactorily directly to a TV. The only video output from the FS is via the VGA Monitor socket.

Have a look at THIS RECENT THREAD for possible solutions if your TV does not have this socket.

here's what it say's in the instructions

'connect the D-Sub cable (optioanl) to 'PC (PC IN) on the rear of your set and the other end to the video card of your computor'

not sure what that means

Also how about the sound?

Sounds like your TV has a PC connection.

You will need something like THIS CABLE for the video.

For sound, you will need to connect your headphone jack on the Vaio to the Stereo Audio inputs on your TV. You will need something like THIS CABLE
