Max RAM on VGN SZ5XWN/C

HI, Can anyone tell me the max RAM supported by this machine. Mine has 2gb but I runs really slowly with Vista. I wondered whether more RAM might help ?

Pretty much yes - it has never been particularly fast, which I have always put down to Vista. For such an expesive macine I am not impressed ! I have taken a few of the Vista special effects off and that has helped a little but otherwise I guess I'll have to put up with it.

I presume you have you checked that the performance selector switch is set to speed and not stamina.?

Yes, I change that depending on whether I am on mains or battery power.

My main issue is that it takes ages to boot, can be slow when processing if I have a couple of windows open and at the end of the day takes ages to shut down.
