got an old notebook PCG-955C as a present but it is completely dead. When I start, there is no noise, no picture, even no light using the AC adaptor, absolutly nothing to hear and to see. any ideas?
Hi! Is the AC adapter alive and well? Does it's light shine brightly and not flicker (like my dead one...). Measure the voltage at the PC end of the cable. If it's not to spec find a friend with a good one and try that. Tom
If you have a Local Computer place nearby(not a store type)take it in and ask the guys to stick there Diagnostic Card on it.It will give it a quick test and show where its failed.
