PS3 to Vaio

Hi,

I was wondering...

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-AR21M which has a 1080p HD screen - I also have a PS3, but no HD telly. So I was wondering if its possible to hook my PS3 up to my laptop and view it on the HD screen?

It may sound ridiculous, but is this possible? Or if not, is there an adaptor?

Ive noticed there is an HDMI port on the side of my laptop, but I dont know wether its input or output.

Thanks in advance for ANY help!

I think, it possible... I was wondering the same question yesterday.
I got a S-video input, and a Ps3! And there are cabels for a S-video input...
Just need to wait for them to be released... let me know if it worked

Oh yeah, I didnt think about S video. I have that too, although according to the PS3 manual, the quality would only go up to 576i rather than 1080p. But, it looks like you would be able to use the screen to play the PS3 which is cool!

I think the only way to get full 1080p resolution is to have HDMI Input or a Component Video In connector.

Ive got a horrible feeling that the port on my laptop is HDMI Output 😞

Im digging through boxes trying to find my manual to see if its input or not!
