Hi - I just bought a VGC V2S, after deciding that paying the huge premium (probably double) the market price for similar spec pc's was worth it for the slick and stylish look of the pc.
However this look is ruined by that rather nasty advertising forced upon us by Intel - the "Intel Inside" sticker. When I peeled this of it left a nasty mark glue mark on my screen. I have tried using water to remove it, but am reluctant to try anything more abrasive for fear of damaging to screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions? My only alternative is to return the pc under warranty which seems a little drastic.
Regards
Tim
None of the notebooks I have bought (Sony or otherwise) has ever had a sticker on the screen. I would contact Sony before trying to remove the glue - get their recommendation before trying as you could end up scratching the screen.
If they can't help you then I suggest that your best bet is to return it.
Usually it's on the case, I would take it back to the retailer and say it's unacceptable.
wooooow, Yeah, i would take it back too.
Intel Inside and Outside by the sounds of it. No-one has to accept advertising and you should take the PC back to the retailer for replacement only this time check that the sticker is off before leaving the shop.
Or buy "sh!t Inside stickers and stick them on the Intel PCs
