Restore to Virtual PC

hi there,

another question from a vaio-newbie:

i recently got a VGN-FW21M. i made the backup-disks and made a clean install of vista x64.
i´m a software developer and for the different settings of my customers i make extensive use of the MS Virtual PC 2007 for my development environments.
since with the clean install i lost all pre-installed software and haven't been able to regain it, my question now is:

is it possible to restore the backup-disks to a Virtual PC? anyone ever tried this?
thought i'd ask before i ruin my installation again...

Yes and No
You can actually ghost (symantec) a system/server/laptop and restore to VPC - I have done this before
I'm not however sure whether you can restore the Sony restore cds (I assume this is what you mean) to VPC



There's a few tools out there that can image the PC and restore to VPC
