shut down problem with motion eye

Hello @all,
I have a sony vaio FE11s and i change the OS from media center 2005 to xp pro edition.

I have visual com. camera driver
usbvm321, 25.10.05,321.1.1025.14

After this windows can not shut down!
It hangs.

If I disable came in hardware wizard, I can shut down windows.

Who can help me?
Is this driver, I get from original driver folder, wrong?

Thanks
roman

Hi roman,

There have been several posts on this issue and,to date, I don’t recall seeing a solution I suggest that you open a case with Support as the more reports of an inherent problem that they receive the better the chances of a remedy.

Hi,
Yes, I have found.

Power supplay for USB slots should be deactivated.

Sony will only support the supplied operating system in this case Windows MCE.

I personally don't understand the migration from MCE to XP Pro, Windows MCE is XP Pro with extra goodies.

I would imagine that if Sony respond they will tell you revert to MCE using your restore partition/discs.

Hello,
I do not find funny your ass, you show me.
It is insult and offend !

It is very tasteless and shows you are perhaps [.....]

I do not understand why do I not install only those software I need?

The at work configuration of Sony is designed for kids, not for an software engineer.

After I change to XP Prof. VAIO is 40% quicker,
has not any dubiose services.

And first of all:
The hard disk click is gone!

I wonder, why do SONY prohibit reconfiguration ?

I apologise for the non working link, its a real shame the site seems to have disappeared. I will amend if it doesn't reappear.

Please note Bart is not targetted at you. It is more aimed at Sony for their short lived products. ie they die soon after warranty expiration.

hi,
i have joined to the club only today. so i happened to see this posting only today. so sorry for the late reply but could be useful for others whoever have the same shut down problem. when i bought my new VGN-FE21H laptop, i installed xp-pro version and then installed zone alarm (free, latest verion 075 then) and mcafee antivirus package and some more programmes (with the help from our adminstator). Later, i had the same problem for shut down . it shows windows shuting down but after that freezed. only manual shut down with the power button was possible. but later we tried several things. only after uninstalling zone alarm it was working fine. all the time the media center edition worked well. now i have the last but one version of zone alarm in german (version 5.5.062.004) and it works nicely with the shut down.
i posted a new problem with the USB power surge which appeared recently is different kind so i leave it out from this post atleast.
