Hi there guys n gals, Happy New Year.
Having had the laptop for a few years, this is only the 1st BlueRay I've tried to watch on it. Eagerly wanting to watch Ip Man 2, my laptop doesn't recognise the disc. I have browsed the forums, and found some to have corrected this with downloading WinDVD, however I still cant watch the Blue Ray.
I'm using Windows Vista, and I've also tried installing latest drivers and firmware to be told it's all upto date.
I hope someone can be of help, thanks
DD

£17+vat for a phonecall to Sony who still havent fixed the problem, recognise that there is a problem or called me back regarding it!!!!
As I've said, last Sony product I buy, absolutely shocking, you should google the term "customer service"
DD
Well Sony stand by "it's a hardware problem", wanting to pick up the unit, then they would charge me for the replacement of the drive. This from "thier" technical team who havent seen the computer.
They totally ignore the fact that I've had an engineer look at it, and it is as I've said, a software problem.
Sony dont seem to have any intreast in keeping these unit's upto date, unlike thier Playstation's units that are upgraded regularly.
I will continue to spread the word of this shocking customer service, after sales and payment for lack of technical assistance
