Startup problems with VAIO K115s

Can anyone give me any advise on this problem? My Vaio will not start up, the green LED light is on but nothing else is happening. I have gone through all the troubleshooting steps and it will start, but it happens every time I try to start up.
I have contacted support by e-mail and they said the same as the troubleshooting guide.
Has anyone got any solutions to this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.

What are the troubleshooting steps? What is it you do to make it start up, that might tell us what the problem is. Really, supports help shouldn't just be 'See troubleshooter'.

The troubleshooting guide tells me to:
Hold down the start button for 20 secs, then try starting again.
If this doesn't work, then hold the start button for another 20 sesc, then try starting again.
Then try removing the battery and starting up on mains power.
If this doesn't work contact support.
9 times out of 10 it will start up by following this.
Support told me the same thing and also suggested removing and re-seating the RAM.
It will start up eventually after following these steps!

Once I get It started, I can shut down and restart with no problem, if I start it within about an hour. If i leave it for longer I have to go through the troubleshooting steps again.

Sounds to me like it's got some hardware issue and Sony should take a look.

Yeah there's something funny in the works. Send another email to Sony and this time be a bit more forceful with them or you will just get another troubleshooting guide back.
