Can anyone tell me if/how I can use my notebook on a plane using the "standard" in-seat power?
Do I need a specific adaptor?
Thanks in advance

No problem
The adaptor says it works on an input of 100-220 volts.
The plane power is 15 volts. I don't get it.
Sure it's not watts?
Sure it's not watts?I must admit it does sound rather low, and as I've said, I can only go by my own experiences. Which are on many occasions I have travelled on an Airbus between Canada and California, which is about 6 hours. I always use my laptop non-stop for the whole flight running on the in seat power source. My power pack is 100 - 240 and all I have ever needed for the plane is an American 3 - 2 pin adaptor. I'm sorry I can't give you the science, but if you need further clarification, maybe you should ring the airline
Definitely Volts
OK
Well I think the airline have made an error then
What do you mean?
See http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=PAPWR200U but check with the airline and targus to check compatibility.
That is a very interesting link Rob I like the bit about 'in the car'
No problem
