using numpad without NumLk?

Hello forum,

I have a VAIO notebook VPCSB. A part of the keyboard functions as a numpad after Fn + NumLk. On most laptops you can use those keys for digits without numlock when the Fn key is held down while typing. On my notebook that does not work: the keys function like arrow keys, page up and down, home, end.

Does anyone know how I can configure the keyboard so that I
can type digits with the Fn key ?

Thanks for helping!

This is tough. Have you checked the online store yet? https://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vmware_happy.gif

Hi jandemolenaar,

As far as I am aware, with Vaio keyboards, this is not achievable. With the Num Lk on holding down the Fn key will produce the letter pertaining to that key instead of the number but this is not what you are trying to achieve...

As you have discovered without Num Lk on the Fn key replicates arrow keys for some of the number keys.

Thanks Rich!

If you are right I will have to live with this. If anyone else is aware of a solution I would be pleased to hear from you.
