VAIO E Series High Capacity Battery

Hi Vaio gang!

I got a Vaio E Series laptop, model VPCEB4C5E - it was a custom built one with a higher capacity HDD and 6GB Ram. It has a 15.5 Screen with 1GB of Graphics.

I am trying to find a higher capacity battery for this model as the one that came shipped with it is fairly poor in performance. I am lucky to get two hours out of it, and that's without doing any battery-intensive operations.

The battery that came with it is a VGP-BPS22, 11.1V, 3500 MaH.

I have had a search on the internet but couldnt find anything and so over to you guys out there.

Can anyone recommend if there is a higher capacity battery out there, and if so, the details?

This is for the E series but your model is not listed so you will have to check suitability.

The BPS22a is not compatible and the ones you can buy on ebay etc that come with a BIOS update will not work with this model.

Until someone updates that firmware for this particular model then I'm afraid you'll have to continue to use the poor standard battery that Sony deem to supply and at best gives 2hrs tops of life
