VAIO SZ and Windows Vista

Does it work? Has anyone installed RC1 on it yet? Do we know if the drivers work and are available somewhere (and if yes, where)?

I am running Vista,no problems to report.It is very stable and very compatable.The only driver I had to load myself was for the Card Readers.My Laptop is a Vaio FE11M.

Really? How wonderful! It seem almost too good to be true, given how difficult is to get normal non-Sony Windows XP installation done...
I still fear that there are no drivers for the GeForce 7400 Go that is in our VAIO SZ. Can anyone confirm that?

I have an FE11H with a Geforce 7400 Go and Vista installs without any problems. Vista already has some drivers for the Geforce 7400 Go which work with all the new Aero Effects.
But you can also install the newest vista drivers from nvidia. You just have to get a moddified inf and place it in the nvidia driver folder, so that the desktop GPU drivers install on Mobile GPU's. You can get it from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10932.

The only problem is that i haven't got the brightness control to work, so it's not a good idea to use it without ac-power:smileywink:

Running Vista RC1. Seems fine from a base OS POV. The annoying thing is that none of the keyboard buttons work, (FN button etc.)
