VAIO VGX XL100 Tuner not installed in MS Media Center

Hello everyone.
I purchased my Vaio VGX XL100, Windows XP Media Center 2005 one week ago.
Everything is correct EXCEPT impossible to get TV on my PC !

While replaying Media Center configuration utility I get (sorry for the french) "Erreur d'inscription d'un composant essentiel" or "No TV tuner available", "Défaillance générale d'un processus error code 3".

I checked indefenitedely cables, instal, event fixes on MS with no success.

Can you help me or give me an advise about contacting Sony Hotline ?

This seems to have been caused by one of the latest Microsoft MCE Updates which has probably had some problem during installation and not run the final part of the Update which is to re-register components with MCE.

Have a look at this RECENT THREAD

The solution seems to be to uninstall the latest Update or to manually re-register the TV Tuner (which is not a task to try unless you are confident with DOS command scripts).

Have you installed any Microsoft Updates since you bought your XL100? If you haven't, I would ask the Shop where you bought it to fix iit for you. They should not sell it with the TV Tuner not working. If you have installed Updates, I would uninstall them until MS issue a new 'Roll Up' Update.
