vgn-s2xp BSOD when i switch the wireless on....

Hello

i'm having a bit of a problem with my vaio-

every time i turn the wireless switch on and select wireless, i get a blue screen, and the laptop restarts. unless i turn it off, i get stuck in a bit of a loop- laptop turns on, wireless turns on, laptop crashes, laptop turns on.

the problem doesn't appear when the wireless connection is disabled, or when the driver is deleted.

i've tried replacing the wireless card, replacing the hard drive, reformatting and using the recovery facility on both hard drives, replacing the ribbon cable from the wireless switch, replacing the wireless switch, replacing the ram, replacing the drivers with the updated ones on support... i'm going a bit mental a bit with it to be honest.

short of replacing the motherboard, does anyone have any other ideas? i'll post up the dump files when i figure out how.

cheers, simon

Hi Simon,

What version of the Intel Wireless LAN Driver do you have installed?  Have you looked for an updated version on the Intel website.

However, it does rather sound like a hardware problem.
