VHS to PC and then DVD

Hi
Have a Sony RZ221 desktop, has all usual sony software, DV Motion, Giga Pocket etc
want to import some old VHS tapes onto PC and burn a DVD
VHS machine has SCART o/p
Sony has S-video, and red, white, yellow video import
What is best way to go and which Sony software should I use

When I look for latest click to DVD all I see for my machine is v 1.4 ?
Is there a up to date version elsewhere ?

this is in fact the way I have gone.
But I can only fit 3x30 mins progs on 1 DVD, (in HQ) from tape.
How on earth do they get something like Lord of The Rings on 1 DVD ?

How about using SP, as your input isn't HQ anyway?

I can normally fit 2hrs on a single layer DVD.

Oh and for Click2DVD, Sony don't seem to make the updates available for everyone, which isn't good!
