Hello,
I have purchased my set of headphones from Dixons in the UK at the airport in June 2017. I have not used the headphones much and I would say I have used them approximately 4 hours a week. I have always carried the headphones in the original case provided as well. I have taken great care about these headphones due to the original price paid. I have been happy about these headphones so far until the moment I noticed the crack on the bracket near the pivot point / hinge on the right side. I have read quickly on the internet about it and it seems to me it is manufacturing fault as it looks like there was a set of headphones released which are affected by such issue. Please advice if you can accept my claim under warranty due to this issue as I believe it is not my fault that it happened. I worry the crack will progress further and it may occur on the left side as well.
Please advice how shall we proceed further and please find the pictures of the cracked headset and scan of the receipt attached.

Dear XXX,
Thank you for your email dated 29th March 2019.
It is concerning to learn that the Heaphones you have purchased are cracked. For us to be able to assist you, you would need to return the item to any Dixons Travel or Currys/PC World store in the UK as we do not have an address you could post them to. However, looking at the image, we would not exchange them for you as this would be classed as wear and tear.
If this is a known manufacturing defect, I would advise that you contact Sony directly as the will have knowledge of this and should offer you a replacement.
I hope this helps, thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Kind Regards,
YYY
