On my Galaxy Note 8 I have my phone on silent and vibrate but I still get all notification sounds through the headphones. How to stop this?
Hi mrcptobvious,
Welcome to the community.
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Hi mrcptobviou,
This sounds a bit weird. Have you tested the headphones with a different phone to identify the cause of this?

The headphones will play any notification sound on and device that will play notifications
I've also had this issue and have tested on multiple phones.
I'm having the same issue, also have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I'm afraid it started after the latest Sony firmware update.
Hey guys,
I'd be interested to know if this happens on any phone you connect the headphones to.
Because as far as I know, the headphones only play the signal sent to them by the phone. So the fact that you're getting the notification means that the phone is actually pushing the notification sound through the headphones.
Also, the headphones don't "know" what notification sound to play and when. So it's really unlikely that the headphones are causing this issue.

Im having the same issue with my huawei mate 20 pro. Maybe its an android issue? Hopefully they fix this with an update soon.
I ALSO just made an account to voice my concern but I found a solution on another forum and it said to change the function of NC/Ambient button to "Ambient Sound Control". I have not received any notification sounds since then! It was really annoying me, if you turn the setting off - you want it completely off! Not have Sony be so stubborn and tell me that they will only partially turn off the setting that I don't want on! Saying it stays on for "important messages"... how does it know which of my messages are important?? It's such a stupid situation for £300 headphones!! I didn't switch over from Bose for this.
