Walkman NW435

Having trouble getting my Walkman Nw435 to connect to anything with bluetooth.

Been trying to connect to my phone Samsung S10 + and Samsung earbuds. When I search for bluetooth devices on the Walkman it doesn't find anything.

Any ideas anyone please.

Hi Chippy,

Can you please check and confirm the model number of your Walkman so that we can look into this for you?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi,

I had already tried all these suggestions.

But tonight I got the buds out set the Walkman to search and it found them straight away.

Still having trouble finding my phone though.

Will keep trying.

Hello @Chippy1012,

the player won't find your phone, since your phone is not a playback device like headphones or a speaker are.

May I know what you would have connected the player to the phone for?

Hi Nic

Sorry to hijack but is that why I can't connect my walkman to my car audio via bluetooth? (i.e. the car audio isn't a playback device)

I changed form an ipod where I just plugged it into the car (2012 Honda Jazz) and everything worked perfectly- I could see folders/ playlists/ song details on the radio "screen", the steering wheel controls worked to skip etc but I have nothing like that functionality with my walkman (which is extremely annoying).

I can connect via a 3.5mm aux in jack but then I lose all functionality of the player.

At best it will connect via usb but the folders make no sense, I can't randomly play anything and have lost the use of the steering controls.

The best workaround I've got is to use an fm transmitter and connect the bluetooth that way. I can't see anything on the radio screen and need to use the controls either of the walkman or the transmitter. So far it's the least worst option.

Have I missed something? Is there a better way?

It's very frustrating as I've got a cheap speaker in my bathroom it connects to without any problem at all!
