WH-1000XM2 - Unable to connect to Windows10 HP laptop

Hi folks,

 

I got a set of WH-1000XM2 headphones for X-mas.  

 

They work when I connect them to my iphone.  They work when I connect via the wire.  They don't work when I try to connect them via bluetooth.

I can connect them bluetooth (see photo)

But I don't have option to output (see photo)

 

I contacted Sony support but they were not much help TBH.

Hello @blahboy,

 

right click into the last window and tick "show deactivated devices" and "show disconnected devices".

 

Maybe that helps.

Enter pairing mode on this headset.

Turn on the headset, when you pair the headset with a device for the first time after you bought it, or after you initialized the headset (the headset has no pairing information). The headset enters pairing mode automatically.

When you pair a 2nd or subsequent device (the headset has pairing information for other devices), press and hold the  button for about 7 seconds.

Make sure that the indicator flashes blue and red alternately after you release the button. You hear voice guidance “BLUETOOTH pairing”.

according to the screenshot the headphones are already paired with the Laptop.
