No boot after update

Today I bought a Xperia Z. I installed the PC Companion application and it said there was an update available. So I did exactly as said on the instructions untill the "Finished" page showed.

It said to:

1- Disconnect USB cable

2- Remove battery

3- Replace battery and restart

Wel.... The battery cant be taken out so I skipped that part...

I left the phone a minute after the update was done, and I pressed the on-button a few secs. It gave a short vibration, backlite and showed the "SONY" logo in white letters. This disapeared and screen stayed black.

I waited 10minutes, as PC Companion said restarting after update might take a while. But still the phone only shows black screen. If now I press the on-button again, it does the same: Sony logo and black again.... Nothing... Nada...

After my FAIL Sony Satio I regretted to switch to another brand and with the XperiaZ i was hoping to have a good phone again... This just sucks donkeyballs.

Anything I can do?

My Xperia Z was in this state too last night.

1. Launch "SONY PC Companion" without the phone.

2. Start "Support Zone".

3. Start "Phone Software Update". (Could not find the phone.)

4. Click on the link "repair my phone"

*Data will be lost on the phone's internal memory, SD card will be safe.

(Somewhere in the processes, it will ask you to install Sony Ericsson UpdateEngine.

Sony_Ericsson_Update_Engine_Setup-2.13.4.16.exe was downloaded.)

(Installed SE Update Engine and exit SONY PC Companion and restart Step 1 through 4.)

5. Following the rest of the on-screen instructions.

(Download Updates for all phones ... connect phone to PC while holding volume down.)

My Xperia Z is working again. Slightly_smiling_Face Good luck!
