I haven't changed any format. I would like to play mkv vedios.
Since the phone has no standard support for MKV-files you have to get hold of some third part app that might be able to sort it out, if you don't would like to convert the file to another format.
Anyone that is aware of any app that handles MKV-files?

Although its wirrten that SXU does only support mp4 avi videos,I am able to play mkv and avi videos with the stock player in hardware decoding mode with no issues.
The only problem is you cant copy a mkv file to the phone's storage, the only way to play is conect a flash dirive the USB-OTG.
Hey what is the player you are using,I tried with VLC, Mobo and MX. but no luck.
its the default player
There a variety of audio and video codecs even in mkv format it self. May be, the one you are trying to play is not supported. If the players like MX or MOBO don't work, there isn't much to suggest. just check some other players which are similar. Better convert it to some othe format.
Not a big problem...
simple u can try MX player it can play any video format..
i use the same for my xperia U
