Do I need a tempered glass screen protector on the both the front and the back panels of my phone?

Does the xz premium need tempered glass on the back as well as the screen please

I did not put any screen protector on my phone and now it has two huge scratches in the front. Do any of you have a suggestion on how to fix this? I have a case covering the back so that's not  a problem. I believe this is a problem with the gorilla glass 5 itself. I've read somewhere that samsung s8 glasses also scratch easily.

This is so disappointing because it's supposed to be strong material.

Definitely. I use a dedicated 3M protective film on the back, despite keeping it in an armor case.

@Arman1988if I remember correctly, Gorilla Glass 5 is relatively soft (i.e. prone to scratches), but is more resistant to shattering. unfortunately, you can't have both scratch-proof and shatter-proof glass.

apparently spigen makes awesome cases.id say probably the best ones out there.

I haven’t been able to find any good screen protector. I have tried a few from amazon and eBay but nothing worth the premium phone's status.

any recommendations on screen protectors?

Can anyone recommend any glass (preferably from the well-known chinese shop) that would perfectly fit XZ Premium without any problems?

Or maybe I should get a smaller one that does not cover the curved sides of the screen?

Again, look at the post right above yours. I have one on order and hope to receive it today or very soon thereafter. I will post results at the youtube site as well as on XDA. From what I have seen so far, this is the only one that looks promising.

Does Sony apply a thin layer of film to protect the front and back or am I wrong to think this?

@JB2unique there is a protective film applied, but it's mostly to protect the device during shipment. if I remember correctly, the part covering the screen even has got a big Xperia logo across it so that you're pretty much prompted to remove it before using the device. it also covers the speakers so the sound is more muffled if you don't remove the film.

Thanks for your reply. No, not the retail film. I was thinking of the pre-applied one that was in the original Z and Z3. I guess it's no longer with recent devices.
