My new phone is in the process of transfering "everything" from my old android phone.
I was wondering if the XZ1 has voice recognition right out of the box. For my old phone I had something then it went away. Then I tried a few different apps and found one of the google apps worked pretty good.
Now I am concerned that this transfer from the old phone, will overriding or bypass a better Sony native app.
I guess I should be concerned about that for a whole lot of apps on the old phone.
Solved! Go to Solution.
There must be a shorter way but here we go.
In apps tick the multicolored Google app
(if not, then install Google from play.google.com)
In the lower right corner there are 3 lines
Tick them
Goto settings
You will find a list
Going down you see voice
New menu with Voice match
Train, retrain or delete the voice model
Enjoy!
You can train or retrain Google voice recognition. (the OK Google and Hey google)
Spoken text for example in WhatsApp or questioning Google or even speaking an email message is at a very hig level nowadays.
On the old phone I had to install some apps that gave me the "OK Google" commands.
Is that app already on the XZ1?

Thanks,
I tried to mark this as the Solution but I I got a message that I don't have java or something.
That is bull of course.
