Xperia XZ start hanging alot after nougat update

Hi everyone I purchased this smartphone about 2 month before, in beginning it was working flawlessly n I was satisfied from its performance. But since Obama nougat it's routine performance effected badly because it start heating n hanging during Skype calls browsing Facebook n playing mid processing games.
Even during Skype calls it take lot of time to open whatsapp or Facebook n during that process it becomes hot like pressure cooker. I used Galaxy Note 4 for 2 years n trust me I didn't face anything annoyed like this n don't forget Note 4 has low processing power as compared to this crop. I am really upset from this situation I also make hard reset but that two didn't solve my problem I have installed about 170 different apps including games.
Any solution please

I had the same problem, my phone was constantly freezing even when just trying to take a picture, play music or use google maps for navigation.

uninstalled the facebook app (back to factory version) same with messenger and facebook account from the phone and rebooted, this made it run faster plus turned off batterycare and smart cleaner and rebooted again now it runs sweet again.

the facebook app is a hog and has been for years, it just keeps  getting worse especially on nougat, just access your facebook through chrome instead.

Xperia XZ messaging starting to hang very frequent after update to 7.1.1 (nougat). Noticed that Keyboard fail to load, i have tried to disabled the swiftkey keyboard but same. I have even tried to reboot the phone but invain. Kindly advise as this is the basic messaging app.

Facebook app also lagging when click on the photos. 

I have uninstalled facebook messager due to draining of battery.

It most probably is some 3rd party app ... Or some theme .. go through my next post point wise to see if you can get help from that

Hey Guys just thought of sharing my views on How to get the most out of your XZ without root

Update your phone to the Aug Sec Patch ( just received 10mb update today(18 /08/17 ), This is the best Update till now

0) Theme
One of the big issues for Phone's poor performance If you have a habit of changing Themes regularly.
Choose the stock theme or a light 3rd party theme, this affects the Performance like anything.

1) Enable Developer Option
Settings > About Phone > Build No ( click it 7 times ) > Press Back Button > You can see the Developers Options

2) Go To Developers Option > Scroll Down > Set the following
Window Animation Scale > 0.5x
Transition Animation Scale > 1.5x
Animator Duration Scale > 0.5x

This is the best settings i have come across to make the XZ look stylish and fast at the same time

3) Download App Greenify
Add all the apps you hardly or use only on a specific occasion Like ordering Food or a Cab etc.

Greenify all the above apps and just Keep your social apps as exception .

4) Do not enable Stamina mode, as it makes the device sluggish and is useless

5) Synchronisation

Keep it on Auto , always better for the device

6) Location settings ( Very IMP for Battery )
Settings > Location > Click on 3dots on top right corner > Scanning > Make sure Wifi and bluetooth Scanning is turned off ( this is such a huge battery Drainer)

7) Networks

If you are in a full 4g or 3g Zone, I prefer you select it to LTE only or Wcdma only mode

This saves a lot of battery trust me , rather than keeping it on Lte/wcdma/gsm ( as your phone keeps searching for better network ultimately consuming more battery )

Secret Code is there for LTE mode , not sure i can discuss here but PM me i will tell you

😎 Cache > Clear your cache only once after the Update

If you keep clearing cache every week, it will have a negative impact on the battery and Speed. Cache is good for the phone only imp to clear after an Update

9) Disable System apps you don't use

Eg - Movie creator , Play movies , play books , play games etc. All the apps you don't use and have an option to disable in Settings > Apps ( including system apps ) disable them ASAP

10) Keyboard ( Stock one Swift Key is pathetic )

Download Gboard from Playstore and use it as stock ( It is the most stable and fast keyboard which i have tested )

12) Email
Try BLUEMAIL from play store, it is really fast and does not depend on SYNC.

11) Do not install any antivirus or Battery saving apps

They are bad and do nothing good

Some Known Issues still with the phone
1) Heats up more than normal at times
2) LDAC is not working as it should

Hello,  I followed many of your great tips, but I chose to install Xperia Keyboard latest version from other site.

It was the best screen keyboard experience I ever had and is like a bliss after cpl of days with the horrible swiftkey thing. 

I decided to deinstall Clean Master and let the phone handle caches, charging etc like you suggested. 

You suggest to clear cache once in a while and particularly when updates happen. Can you tell me the procedure to do so? Thanks in advance.

HI ....I just install the newly update SONY published..but after fews hours the phone still in starting page......with XPERIA logo.....hang over night already.....like to konw how can i deal with it ？
